Brits flock to Wetherspoons-like pub where pints and full English are under £3

Booze-loving Brits are flocking to a Wetherspoon dupe in a popular holiday destination where pints and English breakfasts cost less than £3 — which is, in some cases, cheaper than the real thing. Renowned for its budget-friendly drinks, distinctive carpets and wallet-friendly all-day brunches, J.D. Wetherspoon is a cornerstone of the UK's pub scene.
Most of us are well acquainted with our local branch and can track one down while holidaying in the UK to keep spending to a minimum. Now the beloved pub chain has even inspired an imitation in Thailand for Brits seeking a taste of home. So, if you'd rather tuck into chips, pub grub and sandwiches than noodles and rice, it could be just the thing to keep your holiday costs in check, reports Daily Star.
Dubbed "Witherspoons", the cheeky knock-off is situated in the popular holiday destination of Pattaya City on the eastern Gulf coast of the South East Asian nation. A pint will set you back just £2.94, while breakfast costs a mere 168 Thai Baht (£3.85) at the Thai pub and eatery.
The meal includes two eggs cooked to your preference, a sausage, bacon, toast, tomato and baked beans — remarkable value for such a generous portion.
Also featured on the menu are tacos, burgers, fish and chips, curries and a classic Sunday roast complete with Yorkshire puddings.
One reviewer noted that the roast dinner cost them just £5.02. Meanwhile, beans on toast comes in at £1.94. Boasting an impressive 4.2 out of 5 rating on Google reviews, it appears that tourists making the journey to Thailand are thoroughly enjoying their visits to 'Witherspoons'.

The bar is packed with numerous screens allowing punters to catch all their favourite sports, from rugby and cricket to football. Brits can also enjoy a few frames of pool or a round of darts after tucking into the remarkably affordable grub on offer.
One holidaymaker called Kelly Clarkson said: "I'm not into bars and drinking but had to try it I watched a YouTube video about it so I tried it out. I'm a solo traveller and a woman, I had to ask a waitress to assist me. They definitely focus on the men, nothing wrong with that, however there are other people who should be recognised.
"The food was divine. The crowd is the usual farangs [Caucasian visitors] and their long time/short time girls. Value for money. A good time out though. There are pool tables and good music."
A local guide stated: "Excellent sport's [sic] bar with good staff and manager, also the food specials are very good, breakfast I recommend breakfast of champions and fish and chips Fridays specials."

"A good place to hang out, people watch, watch sports, play pool and have some decent food," said one visitor called Greg. "The food is good. Portions can be a little small but the price is reflective. The service is good."
Another visitor remarked: "I always go here for my Sunday roast when in Pattaya. It never disappoints. Lovely Yorkshire, all the meats and great cauliflower cheese. Pigs in blankets and stuffing. Even a free desserts. Love this place.
"This is a great bar if you are looking to watch some AFL, cricket or other sports," noted a third guest. "Food is either western or Thai. I had roast one day and bangers and mash the next and it was like being home. Cold beer and comfy seats."
