Limerick v Clare: How To Watch, TV Info, Team News

When the fixtures were released Limerick v Clare had the potential to be a precursor to a potential Munster and maybe even a potential All-Ireland final.

Things have not gone to plan for Clare at all this season and despite still being All-Ireland champions, they will have no further involvement in this year's championship after Sunday. A combination of injuries, illness and loss of form has left Clare unable to defend the title they won last July.

A first-round draw with Cork followed by defeats to Waterford and Tipperary means that Clare have no chance of progressing beyond the group stages in Munster.

Limerick began with a draw in Thurles but followed it up with emphatic wins against Waterford and Cork and look set to reach another Munster final as they aim for a record seven provincial titles in a row.

The defiance Limerick showed in defeating Cork has sent a notice out to all intercounty hurling teams. Limerick are on the hunt to win the Liam MacCarthy back and it will take a very strong team to topple them.

Should Limerick win they'll be guaranteed a spot in the Munster final and it would be very hard to bet against them beating the already eliminated Clare.

When is Limerick v Clare

The action will get underway at 4pm on Sunday in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
