2025 Hurling Championship Knockout Fixtures: The Road To Liam MacCarthy
After weeks of exciting action in the round-robins of the Munster and Leinster championships and the Joe McDonagh Cup, this is the path to the Liam MacCarthy Cup in 2025. Here's everything you need to know about this year's Hurling championship fixtures as we enter the provincial finals and knockout phases.
In the Leinster championship, Kilkenny and Galway will face each other in Croke Park on Sunday, 8 June at 4 pm. The winner of the Leinster final will then advance straight to the All-Ireland semi-finals, while the loser will qualify for the quarter-final. The 3rd place team will face the winner of the Joe McDonagh Cup final in a preliminary quarter-final.
As for the Joe McDonagh Cup, Kildare will face Laois in Croke Park as the curtain raiser to the Leinster final.
In the Munster championship, Limerick will look to become the first side to win the Munster title seven times in a row as they face Cork in the Provincial decider. The Munster champions will advance to the All-Ireland semi-finals, while the runners-up will advance to the quarter-finals only. Tipperary in third will move on to the preliminary quarter-finals, where they will face the losers of the Joe McDonagh Cup Final.
Once the initial preliminary quarter-finals are decided and the provincial champions are crowned, the field will be reduced to six teams, and the path to Croke Park will become an awful lot clearer.
The All-Ireland final will take place in Croke Park on Sunday, 20 July at 3.30 pm.
