Shamed Strictly star Wynne Evans submits dossier that 'changes everything'

Wynne Evans, best known for appearing in the Go Compare adverts, is seeking to clear his name after being accused of inappropriate behaviour during his participation in Strictly Come Dancing last year. The TV star was sacked from the Strictly Live show after making a "sexual" remark to professional dancer Janette Manrara. In the recording, Wynne could be heard referencing the words "spit roast," which prompted him to step down from his role at BBC Wales.
After the news came to light, it was alleged that Wynne would "not go down without a fight" and would be heading towards a tribunal with the BBC. A dossier of information submitted by his friends to The Sun shows screenshots and videos that they believe will "prove his innocence".
The Go Compare singer, 53, believes his reputation has been unfairly left “in tatters” despite profoundly apologising for the remark, which he claimed was not about Janette and that other stars were aware of this.
A friend told the aforementioned publication that the singer feels he has been "thrown under the bus" and that the clip has been entirely "misinterpreted."
They said, "Wynne’s team has had the clip sent off to a cyber forensics team, which has come back with a word nobody had previously picked up on; they believe it changes everything."
In it, he can be heard saying "old spitroast boy" to his co-star EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick, and friends of Wynne claimed the reference to "old" and "boy" proves he was addressing Jamie and not making a crude sexual remark about Janette.
The pal insisted that Wynne was referring to Jamie performing a dance move with his legs above his head, making him look like a spitroast chicken.
His allies also claim he has the backing of Janette, who told him to "look after himself" and "take deep breaths" as he struggled in the aftermath of the accusations.
On Monday, Wynne also faced more accusations of inappropriate behaviour when a clip emerged of Jamie Borthwick backstage on the Strictly tour brandishing a sex toy which he claimed was sent to him by the Go Compare singer.
"Look at what he bought me. I opened it up and he surprised me with this, didn't he? It's so funny," Jamie said in the clip.
