Eleanor's hair after using the Hershesons round brush attachment

Hershesons The Multi-Tasker

Hershesons the multi-styler long hair set on a marble table

Rather than a wet-to-dry hair multistyler, The Multi-Tasker is used on dry hair to style your lengths. It also comes in two different versions, one for long hair, and another for short hair, which each have different attachments to suit your hair length. For this review, I tested the long hair version, which comes with a hair waver, curling wand and a thermal round brush to create multiple different looks. Scroll on for my honest thoughts on the hair tool and each attachment.

The Round Brush

Unlike other hot brushes, this one doesn't use hot air to dry and style. Instead, it relies on heat alone and is designed to be used on dry hair to add a bouncy-blowout look to your lengths. In my experience, these types of dry tools tend to hold your style for longer, and that's exactly what I found after testing this attachment. It's really easy to twirl through your lengths and adds instant volume at the roots and bounce through the mid-lengths.

The Curling Wand

I love a curling wand that delivers soft curls (as opposed to 2002 prom ringlets) and this size is perfect. It creates a loose curl that makes your hair look naturally tousled and never "done". The hold is brilliant too. In fact, the picture above was taken eight hours after using the curling wand in the morning, and I still enjoyed piecey waves the following day, too.

The Waver

I have a real soft spot for the waver. Some others I've tested leave my hair looking too polished a mermaid-y, but Hershesons makes my lengths look slightly dishevelled (in a cool way), like I've just spent the day surfing. The waving barrel takes a lot of hair, so it took me less than 10 minutes to do my entire head. Much like the curling wand, these held in place nicely into the next day, too.

The Verdict

At £195, I'm aware that this hair tool is an investment. However, the fact that you're effectively getting a curling wand, a thermal brush and—if you go for the long hair set—a hair waver all in one feels good value to me. You could easily spend £100 on each of those individually, so this feels like a smart investment if you are already looking to add these hair tools to your kit.Because the attachments are interchangeable, it also saves space when you're storing the hair tool, and everything fits neatly into the chic blue vanity case included, so it's ideal for travelling with (compared to other hair tools, these are exceptionally lightweight, so they won't take up much of a precious suitcase weight allowance).I'm so impressed with how each of these attachments creates a different look. The thermal brush has been a lifesaver for adding a quick blow-dry polish to my working-from-home hair pre-Zoom call, and the waver gives me cool-girl, effortless waves in a matter of minutes. The curling wand is also brilliant (clearly, I can't choose a favourite attachment!) and they all serve a different styling purpose in my hair routine. They're all so easy to use

If I had to nit-pick, I'd say that the hair tool takes a while to heat up if you're selecting a setting of 180°C or higher. But other than that, I really can't fault this genius hair tool.
