Yes, is the short answer. Frenchie (Tomer Capone) sacrificed himself in order to protect Kimiko Miyashiro (Karen Fukuhara) from the maniacal Homelander.
He opened a hatch which left him exposed to huge doses of radiation as he told Homelander: “I bet you never danced a day in your life.”
Frenchie was later seen dying in Kimiko’s arms as she was left distraught by his sacrifice.

Speaking about the decision to kill off Frenchie, who has been part of The Boys since the very beginning, creator Eric Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter: “We knew we had to kill off one of The Boys.”
He compared Frenchie’s tragic death to The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, where heroes were killed off for “narrative momentum” and they had to “pay a steep price”.
Kripke explained how the writers went through each of the characters to decide whose death would be the “most heart wrenching” and they knew “early on” that Frenchie would be meeting his maker.
He added: “They would not have a chance of winning if Frenchie doesn’t sacrifice himself.”
Frenchie is just the latest character to be killed off in The Boys’ final season, with A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry) also biting the dust.
The Boys will be coming to a close next week with a huge series finale that promises to deliver, after previous fan criticism of the comedy-action drama over “filler episodes”.
Audiences will have to tune in to see how the epic show ends and if anyone else is killed off.
The Boys series finale airs on Prime Video on Wednesday, May 20 at 8am BST
