THE RUNDOWN
- Taylor Swift attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.
- Swift, who first attended a Knicks game in 2014, arrived in clever “Stevie Knicks” top.
- The appearance comes less than 24 hours after she attended the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles.
After attending the Los Angeles Toy Story 5 premiere last night, Taylor Swift literally traveled cross-country today to watch the New York Knicks play the San Antonio Spurs for Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The singer arrived as the game started, paying homage to one of her favorite people, Stevie Nicks, with her clever Stevie Knicks top. She sat with her friends Alana and Este Haim.

Her fiancé, Travis Kelce, wasn’t with her. The Kansas City Chiefs player (and Cleveland Cavaliers fan) is at mandatory minicamp for his team from June 9 to 11.

Swift’s appearance at Madison Square Garden comes amid rumors that she could host her wedding at the arena. Of course, Swift hasn’t commented on the reports, keeping her plans private.
She does have history with the Knicks, though. She made her first appearance at one of their games way back in October 2014 during her first year living in New York City. She sat next to dedicated fan Ben Stiller, who has been a fixture at games this season, too.

After attending a November 2014 game (and doing a sketch with Jimmy Fallon where she wore Knicks gear in February 2015), Swift reemerged at a Knicks game last month, albeit an away match. She sat next to Kelce as the New York team played—and won—against the Cleveland Cavaliers. She remained neutral, wearing a black look rather than any team’s colors.

Kelce later spoke on New Heights about taking Swift to that game, saying, “Obviously, being a Cleveland sports fan for my entire life, getting Tay back to Cleveland and showing her my roots is always something I love doing.”
He added that they visited Cleveland strictly to attend the game. “I think it was tough to see them lose, but at the same time, man, it was just so fun to be in the building and feel the electricity at Cleveland, being around the hometown,” he said. “But right now, the Knicks are rolling, man. So hats off to New York, man. I’m probably going to be rooting for them from here on out.”
Travis told his brother later that he wasn’t trying to convert Swift into a Cavaliers fan: “This was me just having a fun date night, knowing that I love going to basketball games. We actually tried to go to a game in New York when I was stuck in Kansas City. I love bringing her into the sports world that I appreciate. That’s why [they’ve] seen us at US Open tennis matches. I’ve had her at other baseball games.”
