Meghan Markle Shares Never-Before-Seen Photos From Inside Her Wedding Reception for 8th Anniversary With Prince Harry

THE RUNDOWN
- For her eighth wedding anniversary, Meghan Markle shared new photos from her wedding day, including an inside look at her Frogmore House reception.
- The event was initially kept private.
- Meghan and Prince Harry spoke about their first dance in their Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, which Meghan’s new photos depict in detail.
When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married in 2018, they kept one part of their wedding almost completely out of the public eye: their private reception at Frogmore House. They were photographed leaving Windsor Castle to head to the celebration, with Meghan in her second dress, a Stella McCartney high-neck gown. And that was all that publicly came out from that portion of the day on May 19, 2018:

Now in 2026, Meghan is ready to share a real look inside the festivities. To mark her and Harry’s eighth wedding anniversary, she posted some never-before-seen photos of them during what appears to be their first dance:
She also shared more photos showing some of their private moments during the ceremony earlier that day:
In the couple’s Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, the pair spoke about their first dance during the reception. “I just really wanted the music to be fun,” Meghan recalled, noting their song was “Land of 1000 Dances” by Wilson Pickett.
She sang some of its lyrics, reminiscing. “That was so much fun. Just spinning like a whirlwind. It was so great,” she said.
The documentary also had personal photos from the festivities:
During the series, the couple recalled how they kept their attention on each other as their ceremony was globally broadcast. “The world was watching us, but when we were actually at the altar, as far as I was concerned, it was just the two of us,” Harry said.
“H and I are really, really good at finding each other in the chaos,” Meghan added. “When we find each other, we reconnect to like, ‘Oh, it’s you. It’s you.’ It’s not that the rest of it doesn’t matter, but...the rest of it feels temporary.”
On the day of the wedding, the Palace released details about Meghan’s second dress—one that her new photos show in motion.
They said, “The Bride’s evening dress is designed by Stella McCartney and is a bespoke lily white high neck gown made of silk crepe. The Bride is wearing shoes from Aquazzura made in silky satin, with nude mesh, with soles painted in baby blue.”
