Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry 'expresses great sadness' ahead of UK visit

Prince Harry expressed his "great sadness" over security delays that have been keeping his children from meeting the wider Royal Family, according to a source. The prince is set to visit the country in mid-July for Invictus Games countdown events in Birmingham and is expected to bring his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as his wife, Meghan Markle.
One source told News.com.au that Harry wanted to introduce the children to his wider family and show them where he grew up, and said he had felt a 'great sadness' about not being able to do so earlier because of security concerns. Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, last saw their grandfather, the King, in person during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Harry previously expressed his hopes of bringing his children from the US, but had insisted it was too dangerous amid his legal fight over his UK security.

Prince Harry's eye-watering £ 1.1million donation to Children in Need has come under scrutiny, as it has been claimed the money was drawn from charitable funds originally left by his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
The news of the donation came after Prince Harry's last visit to the UK in September and was described as his own money rather than funds drawn from his Archewell Foundation.
Writing in the Daily Mail, Diary Editor Richard Eden claims the money was gifted by the Glen Beg Foundation, rather than by Harry himself.
The foundation was established in 1999, two years after Diana's death and was set up using funds from the Princess of Wales Charities Trust.
