Looking to cool off now that summer is here? City pools are opening this weekend

With summer now here, Londoners won't have to wait any longer for more ways to cool off.
The City of London is announcing the start of the season for outdoor pools. All 10 of the city's public outdoor pools open as of June 27.
The pools opening as of Saturday are:
- Byron Pool, 1330 Brock Ln.
- Gibbons Pool, 2B Grosvenor St.
- Glen Cairn Pool, 370 Chippendale Cres.
- Northeast Pool, 1050 Victoria Ave.
- Northridge Pool, 15 McLean Dr.
- Oakridge Pool, 825 Valetta St.
- Southcrest Pool, 15 Hazelwood Ave.
- Silverwoods Pool, 36 Sycamore St.
- Stronach Pool, 1221 Sandford St.
- Westminster Pool, 650 Osgoode Dr.
With the outdoor pools open, spaces are available for outdoor swimming lessons and aquatics programs through the city's online booking portal. Those opportunities range from aquafit classes to learn-to-swim programs and more, according to the city.
On top of regular outdoor pools, nine wading pools across the city will be opening on Saturday as well, with varying hours of operation that can be found on the City of London website.

City officials are also reminding residents that splash pads are open across London for the rest of the season. There are 18 of them in the city, all of which can be found on the city website. The Ivey Park splash pad won't be open until late July due to construction, city officials said.
According to the city, outdoor pools are set to remain open until late August.
