A30 traffic LIVE: Major road in Cornwall closed for hours in both directions after crash

National Highways has been issuing updates on social media as the A30 remains closed in both directions between the A3047 (Camborne, west) and the B3301 (Hayle).
The A30 remains closed while police investigate the collision that put a man in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
National Highways advises: "If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."
The force said: "We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision on the A30 near Camborne.
"At around 11.55pm on 4 July we were notified of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Ford Mondeo towing a caravan on the A30 Westbound near Roseworthy.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, has sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
"The A30 Westbound in the area at remains closed this morning while we continue to work at the scene.
"It is anticipated that it will reopen mid/late morning. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area where possible and to expect traffic disruption this morning.
"Investigating officers from the Roads Policing Team ask that anyone who witnessed the incident, has information or relevant dashcam footage, please to report it to police.
"Information can be reported by calling 101 or via our website quoting reference 50250171783."
Devon and Cornwall police are looking for witnesses and people with dashcam footage to come forward after the crash left a man with life-threatening injuries.

For people travelling eastbound, go via local roads (Carwin Rise, Turnpike Road, via Connor Downs, then Roseworthy Hill).
For those travelling westbound, take the same route but in reverse order.
The incident occurred on the westbound side of the A30 near Roseworthy.
The A30 westbound between the A3047 Camborne West and the junction with the A3074.
The A30 eastbound between the A3074 and the junction with the A3047 Camborne West.
