There has been a new development regarding the death of social media phenomenon Yağmur Aktaş , who died under suspicious circumstances in the United States.

Yağmur Taktaş, a social media phenomenon from Adana who became famous with a television competition, died in the hospital where she was taken after falling ill in the USA on April 3, 2024.

Taktaş's body was airlifted to the US on April 20th, following an autopsy, and was laid to rest at Kabasakal Cemetery in Adana. Through their lawyers, Yağmur Taktaş's family filed a complaint against her lover, a painter and US citizen of Turkish origin, the ACF, alleging that their daughter, who had previously been beaten and lost her spleen, had caused his death.

The Taktaş family alleged that Yağmur's lover had drugged her, detained her, beat her, and left her to starve her. Following this suspicion, the family, through their lawyers, applied for the exhumation of her body and an autopsy to be conducted in Türkiye. Upon approval, Taktaş's body was exhumed on May 5, 2024, and taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Samples from the partially decomposed body were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute.
