Pesticide inspection in Muğla: Banned substance detected in some grapes
As part of the 2025 pre-harvest pesticide inspections conducted by teams from the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, an active ingredient (dimethoate), banned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on July 28, 2023, was detected in a grape sample taken in the Seydikemer district. In accordance with relevant legislation, teams from the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry imposed administrative sanctions on the products in question and destroyed the harvested products. It was announced that pesticide inspections will continue uninterrupted by the relevant units to protect food safety and consumer health in plant production.
