🌿 TurkeyOutdoor aims to raise environmental awareness through nature sports. While engaging in sports in nature, we embrace the principles of environmental protection, respect for biodiversity, and sustainability.

Combining adrenaline, nature, and team spirit, canyoning is a rapidly growing nature sport in Turkey. Now, this exciting sport is being crowned in Manisa with Turkey's first grand canyon gathering ! 🇹🇷

Canyoning encompasses multiple sports, including hiking, swimming, climbing, rappelling, and jumping. This sport, which has a history of approximately 15 years in Turkey, has been developing under the guidance of various associations with their own training systems. But now it's time to join forces!

On April 19-20, 2025 , Manisa Spil Mountain, the Sülüklügöl Camping Area, and Yarımkaya Canyon will be a meeting point for canyoneers. This event will not only be a camp; it will also be a step toward unity and the development of a shared vision for the Turkish canyoneering community .

The event is attracting interest not only from Turkey but also from abroad. With the participation of canyon teams from Iran , the gathering takes on an international dimension. This further strengthens the exchange of information, technical development, and spirit of solidarity.

The event, supported by the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, will bring together more than 20 canyoning clubs from across Türkiye. Here are some of the participating clubs:

Don't leave trash behind; return it to your destination in the same bags you brought it in, or dispose of it in a trash container.
• If you are planning a nature trip, camping or outdoor activities, be sure to pack all the necessary equipment .
• Entry restrictions to forests and some protected areas in Turkey are frequently enforced , and administrative fines are imposed on those who do not comply. You should verify current forest entry restrictions with the provincial Regional Forestry Directorates.
• Technically, all outdoor activities in nature require prior permission. Our advice to our readers, campers, hikers, and all outdoor sports participants is to at least contact law enforcement before embarking on any activity and inform them of the nature activity and routes they plan to undertake.
