Inter bids early farewell to Club World Cup

In the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 match, Brazilian team Fluminense defeated last Champions League finalist Italian giant Inter 2-0 and advanced to the quarter-finals.
Fluminense finished the first half 1-0 ahead with a goal from German Cano in the 3rd minute. Inter, who had difficulty overcoming their opponent's solid defense, fell behind 2-0 with a goal from Hercules in the 90+4th minute. Since there were no more goals in the remaining minutes, Fluminense won the match 2-0.
Inter's national player Hakan Çalhanoğlu did not play in the match due to injury.
With this result, Fluminense pulled off a big surprise and made it to the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup, while Inter said goodbye to the tournament in the last 16 round.
Fluminense will face the winner of the Manchester City-Al Hilal match in the quarter-finals.
