A magnificent closing ceremony for the sailing championship in Karşıyaka

The championship, held in Karşıyaka for the third time this year, brought together experienced veteran sailors from across Türkiye and abroad. The races, held in the Gulf of Izmir, featured national sailors who have competed at the Olympic level and achieved success in international championships.

Former Minister of Youth and Sports and İzmir Deputy Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Sailing Federation President Özlem Akdurak, and Karşıyaka President Aygün Cicibaş also attended the awards ceremony held at the Karşıyaka Sailing Facilities.

Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, stating that sailors from all over the country met with the wind, the waves, and most importantly, the spirit of brotherhood in sports, said in his speech, "After five days of exciting competition, I wholeheartedly congratulate all our athletes who made us proud with their determination and success at the awards ceremony held today."
