Stay of execution decision on Halk TV blackout penalty

There has been a new development regarding the 10-day blackout penalty given to Halk TV by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK).

Ankara 21st Administrative Court decided to stay the execution of RTÜK's 10-day screen blackout penalty upon the objection of Halk TV lawyers.

RTÜK has the right to object to the decision within 7 days.

BLACKOUT PENALTY TO SÖZCÜ TV

Ankara 7th Administrative Court lifted the stay of execution of the 10-day screen blackout penalty given to SÖZCÜ TV. SÖZCÜ TV screens will go dark as of midnight on Tuesday, July 8th.
