Long-Range Air Defense System SİPER in Sinop for Test Firings

Türkiye's domestically developed long-range air defense system, SİPER, has been moved to the Sinop Firing Range for a new round of testing. The system, which attracted the attention of citizens as it passed through the city center, arrived in Sinop in a convoy. Citizens recorded the SİPER's passage on their mobile phones.

Developed in partnership with ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and TÜBİTAK SAGE, SİPER is designed to provide effective protection against high-altitude, long-range air threats. Previously tested in Sinop, the system has reportedly been redeployed to the region for new firing trials.

While security measures were taken in the region during the convoy's passage, the intense interest of citizens attracted attention.
