It will be sold for the price of a phone! Here is the 'world's cheapest robot'

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence and robotics have begun to transform not only industrial production but also daily life. One of the latest examples of this transformation comes from China . According to a report in Interesting Engineering, a Beijing-based startup has introduced a compact humanoid robot , developed for both education and home use and touted as the "world's cheapest humanoid robot."
HERE ARE THE FEATURES OF THE WORLD'S CHEAPEST HUMANOID ROBOTStanding just 94 centimeters tall and weighing 12 kilograms, Bumi is not designed to compete with full-size, high-performance humanoid robots. Instead, it is a smaller, lighter, and more affordable robot developed specifically for educational and home use.

Bumi is powered by a 48V battery with a capacity of over 3.5Ah and offers 1–2 hours of use per charge. The robot features drag-and-drop graphical programming and voice interaction for children and beginners, allowing it to function as both a learning companion and a personal assistant.
A video shared by independent robotics media outlet RoboHub showcases Bumi's walking and dancing abilities. While the robot doesn't have the full-body agility of larger industrial-grade models, it appears to offer remarkably fluid movement control and balance performance for its category.
HOW MUCH IS THE 'WORLD'S CHEAPEST HUMANOID ROBOT'?Bumi is priced at approximately $1,370. According to the Global Times, the manufacturer describes it as "the industry's first consumer-grade humanoid robot priced under 10,000 yuan." The company believes this represents a milestone in the commercialization of robotics technology.
The robot's affordable price is attributed to lightweight composite materials, an in-house motion control system, and a modular design focused on education rather than complex industrial functions.
The company announced that pre-orders for the Bumi will open between China's Double 11 (November 11) and Double 12 (December 12) shopping festivals.
