Bulgarian Intelligence Seeks Turkish-Speaking Agent

Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security (DANS), responsible for domestic intelligence and counter-intelligence, has published an announcement for the recruitment of new intelligence personnel.

In the announcement made by DANS on popular job search platforms, it was stated that agents would be recruited for both the headquarters in the capital Sofia and for assignment to the city of Yambol.

While a total of six agents who speak Turkish, Russian, Arabic and Persian are sought for positions opened for the headquarters in Sofia, it was stated that there is no foreign language requirement for the position in Yambol, but the candidates will work in the field of economic security.

A notable clause in the application requirements stipulates that candidates must be Bulgarian citizens only. It was emphasized that applications from individuals with dual citizenship, and particularly those who have been forced to migrate from Türkiye, will not be accepted.
