430 light-years from Earth: A new Jupiter-like planet has been discovered

Astronomers discovered a planet about 430 light-years from Earth.
According to the news of the "Earth.com" site, the new planet detected in the research carried out under the leadership of scientists from Leiden University in the Netherlands, Galway University in Ireland and the University of Arizona in the USA was named "WISPIT 2b".
Astronomers made the discovery using the Very Large Telescope (VLT) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in the Atacama Desert of Chile.
Christian Ginski, a lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Galway University and one of the authors of the study, explained in a statement about the discovery that they scanned young stars with very short observations to see if a planet's light could be seen near them, and that they unexpectedly discovered a multi-ringed dust disk on this star.
Ginski noted that further studies have shown that WISPIT 2b is believed to be within a dust disk surrounding a young star similar to the early forms of the Sun.
The findings of the study were published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters.
