Donald Trump gave a detailed account of what happened before Iran's attack on Al-Udeid Air Base during an event in Des Moines, Iowa . Trump said, " They called me and said, 'We need to attack you.' That was Iran . They were very respectful. That means they respect us."

“WE DROP 14 BOMBS, THEY WANTED TO RESPOND WITH 14 MISSILES”

US President Trump emphasized that Iran had conveyed its decision to counterattack to him. “ We dropped 14 bombs on them. They said to me, ‘We want to drop 14 missiles on you too.’ I said, ‘Okay, go ahead, I understand.’ ” he announced a remarkable diplomatic communication to the public with these words.

ATTACK TIME AND TARGET WERE GIVEN IN ADVANCE

Trump said that Iran had notified them of the time and targets of the attack in advance , and added, “ They told me where they were going to launch the attack. I said, ‘Good.’ We evacuated the base. They told me, ‘Sir, the attack is at 1:00.’ I said that would be no problem.

TRUMP'S SURPRISING THANK YOU TO IRAN

In a post on Truth Social on June 23 , Trump reminded that he thanked Iran for giving us information before the attack : “ I want to thank Iran for giving us advance notice (of the attack). Because of this, there was no loss of life and no one was injured.

Trump also said in his post that Iran's stance could increase the possibility of peace and harmony in the region and that he wanted to encourage Israel in the same direction .

BACKGROUND OF THE ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT

Iran's missile attack came after Israel launched a large-scale operation on nuclear facilities and high-level military targets in Iran on June 13. On June 22 , the US launched an airstrike on three nuclear facilities in Iran's Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan cities. Iran responded by targeting the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on June 23.

THE CEASE-FIRE STATEMENT ALSO CAME FROM TRUMP

On June 24 , Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel , temporarily easing days of tension in the Middle East.
