The Left Party called out from Tarsus: We will not compromise, we will send them away

The SOL Party continues its marches across the country, calling for a united struggle by the people against the regime. Following its conference last week, the SOL Party held its first march in the Tarsus district of Mersin. Marching from the Public Education Center to Yarenlik Square with the slogan "More unity, more struggle , more streets, and more left against fascism," the SOL Party members emphasized the destructive policies of the Palace regime and emphasized the importance of a common and united struggle.

WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE WITHOUT JUSTICE

Speaking after the march, Nisan Fakı, a member of the Tarsus District Organization, said, "We, those gathered in this square and whose hearts are with us, are the people who work with their labor and sweat. We are the ones who never bowed their heads for bread, honor, and freedom. Today, we are condemned to an unjust and unfair life."

"No matter how much effort they put in for our children, no matter how hard they work, they are condemned to a futureless existence. The children of those who reign in palaces become owners of multi-million dollar fortunes by the time they turn 20, enjoying unlimited money in luxury cars and the joys of an unjust and unfair life," said Fakı. "We do not accept this unjust life, this inequality, this oppression. We call on everyone to unite our anger and rebellion and intensify the struggle to save our lives and our future from the clutches of thieves."

Education has become a paid service. In a system where ministers are private school patrons, those without money are denied access to quality education. As public education is being gradually dismantled, they are now attempting to deliver the final blow with attempts to abolish compulsory education. From TÜSİAD to MÜSİAD, all the employers' clubs are striving to end compulsory education. They want to abolish compulsory education and exacerbate the child labor that began with the MESEMs. They want to exploit our children and young people to fuel their own exploitation.

"Sects and religious communities have occupied schools under the Ministry of National Education's protocols. They are also working tirelessly to abolish compulsory education. They want girls to be excluded from education, paving the way for child marriages... They want coeducation to be eliminated, and the wave of reactionism to rise... Education is our right! We have the right to free and equal education for everyone. We have the right to a secular and scientific education," Fakı continued.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT THE SYSTEM OF EXPLOITATION

As the Left Party, we advocate for the closure of all private schools. Our right to healthcare, just like education, has been destroyed. Private hospitals, built like five-star hotels, have become a money-making platform for certain individuals. From commercialized sectarian capitals to ministers, the AKP's wealthy owners have become even richer through these hospitals. As the Left Party, we advocate for the nationalization of private hospitals. As the Left Party, we fight for healthcare to be free and equal for all citizens.

Our ports have been privatized, our forests sold, and our nature destroyed. Our lands no longer ooze life, but suffering; peasants have become unable to produce. Not content with that, they are now selling our country's remaining savings to Trump in America. As a nation of enslaved workers, our people are being forced to serve domestic and foreign capital. We do not accept this occupation and exploitation of our lands.

WE WILL CHANGE THIS REACTIONARY REGIME

SOL Party Spokesperson Önder İşleyen emphasized the following in his speech: “We walk the streets of Tarsus with our heads held high. There are those who have bequeathed us this honor; we remember with love and respect İskender Özkul, Ayhan Alan, Ali Uygur, and all our comrades who fought for their people against fascism and the fascist junta at the cost of their lives. From Maraş to Çorum, from Sivas to the October 10th massacres, from coups to assassinations, a system built on darkness has been brought to this day by the reactionary and nationalist right, a defender of American interests and their collaborator from past to present.”

The AKP's rule, sustained by deception, deception, and tyranny, has plunged our country into a deep decay. This regime, now unsustainable and facing collapse, dissatisfied with no one but a handful of exploiters and imperialists, is trying to stay afloat by clinging to Trump's rope. They are attempting to establish a country without elections or opposition, akin to a kingdom, by paving the way for Erdoğan's lifetime presidency.

We declare from here that we will never allow this reactionary regime, branded as imperialism, to enslave our future. We, the resisters of this country and all opposition forces, will unite and consign those who drag our country into disaster to the dustbin of history. Here, our friends are asking us in many places: Who can we trust? How can we change?

YOUNG AND OLD, WOMEN AND MEN, WE WILL UNITE

This is a very fair and correct question; we, the oppressed of this country, regardless of religion or language, as the owners of common pain, anger and hope; we, the workers, the oppressed, the young and the old, women and men, Turks, Kurds, Arabs, workers and peasants, will unite.

We don't expect a single word from the AKP and MHP governments, from these bandits who inflict every kind of harm on the people. Because we know that it's impossible to reconcile the desire for more exploitation with the demand for a humane life, or the people's desire for freedom with oppression and tyranny.

This country will be a land of brotherhood and peace; workers will live with dignity… Young people and women will be free, and our country will once again be independent and free. The reign and exploitation of money will end, and hospitals and schools will belong to the people… All our privatized savings will be reclaimed. The one-man monarchy, where the people will have the say, the authority, and the decision, will end forever.

OUR LANDS ARE UNDER THREAT

The SOL Party Eskişehir Provincial Organization called for a march on Saturday, October 18th at 4:00 PM regarding the "rare earth element reserves." The statement read, "The government is trying to market our lands in the US-China competition. Our independence and our lands are under threat."
