New details emerge in corruption investigation into IMM

The investigation into the corruption allegations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested after being suspended from his post as mayor, is ongoing. As part of the investigation, suspect Murat Erenler gave a statement to the Prosecutor's Office within the framework of effective repentance provisions.

"A large number of flats were purchased from the Kiptaş Arkatlı Project for many people who worked with Soytekin"

Suspect Murat Erenler, in his statement, stated that the sale of Adem Soytekin's projects, which are on the suspect list as Ekrem İmamoğlu's safe, was carried out by Nezahat K., the owner of Elpis Project Marketing, and that approximately 300 apartments from the Kiptaş Yeşilpınar Project were sold to Müge D., Yıldırım D. and Ulaş Y. through her, and said, "In 2023, upon Adem Soytekin's instructions, many apartments were purchased from the Kiptaş Arkatlı Project in my name, through Serpil and Doğukan A., Altan G., Volkan B. and many people working with Soytekin. Soytekin used this method in order not to attract attention. Upon Soytekin's request, I delivered a bag full of money to the driver of Kiptaş General Manager Ali Kurt in 2023. In the same year, I personally delivered the bag full of money that I received from Soytekin in the Yeşilpınar Kiptaş Project meeting room to Ali Kurt at the Kiptaş building in Zeytinburnu." he said.

"I received instructions to evacuate the office 15 days before the IMM operation"

Murat Erenler, who said that he established a 1 plus 1 home office on the 17th floor of the Esenyurt Akros project belonging to Asoy İnşaat in 2023 upon the instructions of Adem Soytekin, said, "I learned that this office would be used by Fatih Keleş. I handed over the key of the office to a person named Murat, whom Keleş sent. 15 days before the IMM operation, I received instructions from the same person to evacuate the office. While the office was in Keleş's use, I saw boxes of market cards in Murat's vehicle. We bought a folding hand truck to carry these cards."
