Israeli Press: Trump's Patience Has Run Out With Netanyahu

The US starting nuclear negotiations with Iran , the dismissal of National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and finally the ceasefire reached with the Houthis in Yemen were interpreted as "indicating the problem between Trump and Netanyahu."

US President Trump is reportedly angry with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's attitude.

Trump Decides to Move Forward Without Netanyahu in Middle East

Citing sources close to the US president, Israel Hayom's Ariel Kahane wrote that Trump had become disillusioned with Netanyahu and had decided to move forward in the Middle East without him.

Kahane said Trump was furious and losing patience with Netanyahu and his men's attempt to pressure the ousted National Security Adviser Waltz into attacking Iran.

Kahane stated that Trump will make his moves in the Middle East without Netanyahu due to his stance, and noted that the US President is working on important decisions, especially regarding Saudi Arabia.

Kahane assessed that the US's ceasefire with the Houthis in Yemen was a declaration of this anger.

"It's now clear that Trump doesn't care much about Netanyahu"

According to Barak Ravid, who evaluated the relationship between Netanyahu and Trump on the Walla news website, the agreement reached with the Houthis revealed a serious coordination and trust problem between Trump and Netanyahu.

Ravid said Israel’s ability to influence negotiations on a new nuclear deal between the US and Iran now appears to be quite limited, noting that the Tel Aviv government was not aware of any phase of the agreement with the Houthis.

Pointing out that Israeli officials used expressions such as "Trump surprised us" and "We heard about the agreement on television", Ravid commented that Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, whom Netanyahu assigned to manage relations with the US, failed in the issues of Iran, the attacks on Gaza, humanitarian aid and the prisoners.

Ravid underlined that the ceasefire with the Houthis did not include Israel and that the US remained silent regarding the Houthis' attacks on Israel.

Ravid, who stated that the US's stance on the Houthis would also be a source of concern for Israel regarding the agreement with Iran, said, "It is now very clear that Trump does not care much about Netanyahu and does not feel the need to consult him or take his views into consideration."

Trump has decided to cut off contact with Netanyahu, according to Israel's Army Radio

Israeli Army Radio reporter Yanir Cozin, in a post he made on his X account, stated that US President Trump had decided to sever ties with Netanyahu, citing an Israeli official.

According to Cozin's post, the Israeli official said that Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer's "arrogant" talk to Republican senators about what Trump should do was not working.

The official said people around him told Trump that "Netanyahu was manipulating him."

"There is nothing Trump hates more than being portrayed as a "sucker" and "someone who is being played with," the official said, adding that "he has decided to cut ties with Netanyahu."

Cozin pointed to the Tel Aviv government's failure to present a concrete plan and timetable regarding Iran and the Houthis as the source of the US's deteriorating relationship with Israel.

The Israeli Army Radio reporter drew attention to the fact that the Netanyahu government could not come up with concrete proposals regarding Gaza and said, "We will see it in Gaza as well."

Tel Aviv will pay a price if it does not agree to a ceasefire, a senior US official said

According to the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post, a meeting was held between families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza and US officials.

A senior US official at the meeting slammed Israel's stance in negotiations over a Gaza ceasefire and prisoner swap deal, saying the US would reach a regional deal with Saudi Arabia even if Israel was not involved.

The official, who noted that prisoners in Gaza have so far paid the price for not ending the war, said: "The price will be very heavy, not only for the prisoners but also for Israel if it does not make a deal."

The US official, whose name was not shared in the report, emphasized that the ceasefire agreement with the Houthis was only the beginning, saying, "If Israel does not come to its senses, the agreement will be made without Israel."

It was reported that the relatives of the Israeli prisoners present at the meeting interpreted the expressions used by the US official as "a change of tone coming from an ally traditionally seen as supporting Israel unconditionally."

US Ambassador to Israel Says They 'Do Not Have to Get Permission' from Israel to Deal with the Houthis

In a preview of his interview with Channel 12, which broadcasts in Israel, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced that they would take action if American citizens were harmed in the Houthis' attacks on Israel.

"The United States does not have to get permission from Israel to make some kind of arrangement that would prevent the Houthis from firing on our ships," Huckabee said in an interview to be broadcast on Channel 12 this weekend.

Huckabee, who stated that he had spoken with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on the issue, said, "There are 700,000 Americans living in Israel. If the Houthis want to continue to do something to Israel and harm an American, then that would be our business."

Asked by a Channel 12 reporter whether he meant that the U.S. would only intervene if Houthi missiles targeted American citizens, Huckabee replied: "That's a matter of what our primary job is going to be."

Ceasefire between the US and the Houthis

Oman Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced that a ceasefire had been reached between the US and the Houthis based in Yemen's capital Sana'a to end attacks in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

US President Donald Trump said, "The Houthis have announced that they no longer want to fight. We will respect that and stop bombing them. They have surrendered, they are saying they will no longer blow up ships."

Israeli officials speaking to Israeli state television KAN said that US President Donald Trump's announcement that they would stop bombing the Houthis had a "shock effect" on the Tel Aviv administration.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that despite the US's ceasefire with the Houthis, they will continue to target Yemen.
