Gürsel Tekin will leave as he came: The decision is expected to be overturned

CHP Headquarters attorney Çağlar Çağlayan commented on the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance's decision regarding the 38th Ordinary Convention and the injunction against the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress. Meeting with journalists, Çağlayan also shared his predictions for the criminal case to be heard on November 4th at the Ankara 26th Criminal Court of First Instance.
Çağlayan stated that the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance's rejection of the congress annulment case would impact the case in Istanbul, emphasizing that the Istanbul Provincial Congress had already been held and that the case remained without a subject matter. CHP's Çağlayan also emphasized that the Supreme Election Council (YSK) correctly exercised its constitutional authority.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO TEKİN?Çağlayan, making predictions about the situation of Gürsel Tekin , who was appointed as trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters , noted that the injunction was appealed, but the court would overturn the decision before the appeal. Noting that the court that issued the injunction has the authority to lift it, Çağlayan said, "We are now awaiting that decision. We believe the injunction will be lifted soon."
Çağlayan stated that the trial, which will be heard on November 4th at the Ankara 26th Criminal Court of First Instance, seeking a political ban against 12 people, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, should result in the acquittal of all defendants. Emphasizing that numerous congresses have been held since the congress in question, Çağlayan commented, “Therefore, there is no longer a case. The accusations have not been substantiated. The delegates who were alleged to have received money have stated, ‘I did not receive any money.’ Even if the case is heard without being dismissed, all defendants will be acquitted.”
