Critical talks from MIT Director Kalın in northern Iraq

According to the information received, MİT Director Kalın paid a visit to Erbil yesterday.
As part of the visit, Kalın met with the Chairman of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Massoud Barzani, the Chairman of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Masrour Barzani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Qubat Talabani, the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Reber Ahmed, and the officials of the Security Council of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
During the bilateral talks, the latest situation in the region after the war between Iran and Israel and the steps to be taken to ensure regional peace and stability were discussed.
"TERRORISM-FREE Türkiye PROCESS"
The "Terror-Free Türkiye" process was one of the most important issues on the table during the talks. In this context, the steps to be taken in the future to cleanse the entire region of terrorism and remove terrorism from the regional agenda were discussed.
In addition, the security of Turkmens and their role in political processes were also discussed in detail during the talks. It was conveyed that Türkiye stands by the Iraqi Turkmens.
It was also underlined that contacts with the Iraqi central government and the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government authorities would continue to increase in the coming period.
