Aid flow from Türkiye to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza

The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that aid to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues uninterrupted. In a post on its social media account, AFAD stated that Türkiye has not remained silent in the face of the atrocities in Gaza and continues to provide aid to the region in collaboration with all relevant institutions, organizations, and civil society organizations.
The statement noted that a total of 101,725 tons of humanitarian aid supplies have been sent to Gaza via 16 ships and 14 planes since October 7, 2023. It emphasized that the aid was carried out under the coordination of AFAD with the contributions of the Turkish Red Crescent and other civil society organizations.
AFAD announced that 333 trucks of aid supplies have been transferred to Gaza since July 27, 2025. It was reported that humanitarian aid activities have accelerated following the ceasefire in Gaza on October 8, 2025.
100 TRUCKS OF MATERIALS ARRIVED IN GAZA FROM EGYPT
In its statement, AFAD noted that 100 trucks of aid materials were sent with the contributions of the Turkish Red Crescent and other civil society organizations in Turkey, and were delivered from the Egyptian city of El Arish to the Karem Abu Salem border gate in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
It was also announced that 17 trucks of food and 3 trucks of blankets from Türkiye are planned to pass through, along with tents, on October 13, 2025.
AFAD stated that they continue to work in coordination with all institutions, organizations and non-governmental organizations to meet humanitarian needs in the region.
