Erkan Baş's reaction to İmamoğlu: Even if you shut down the entire internet, we will communicate through smoke!

Reactions continue to the blocking of access to the X account of CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in Silivri Prison. TİP Chairman Baş reacted to the decision to block access in a statement he made on his social media account. Baş addressed the government and said, "These cannot discourage us, on the contrary, they motivate us. Even if you shut down the entire internet, we will still defeat you by communicating through smoke. We will end the shame this government has brought upon our country."

The Chief noted the following in his statement:

"The blocking of access to the X account of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality who was held captive in Silivri, in Türkiye is the product of the irresponsibility of the platform owner and the lawlessness of the government.

The X platform had also blocked access to the social media account of the TİP Students, one of the channels where resistance for the people's will was organized during the March 19 process. When we took legal action, they responded with similar excuses to the AKP, such as "we are implementing the decision but we strongly oppose it", just like they do today.

I repeat: These things cannot discourage us, on the contrary, they motivate us. Even if you shut down the entire internet, we will still defeat you by communicating through smoke. We will end the shame this government has brought upon our country."
