Spanish airline Air Europa begins Madrid-Istanbul flights

Today, a welcoming ceremony was held at Istanbul Airport arrivals floor B15 gate for the company's first flight from Madrid to Istanbul. The ceremony was attended by Spanish Ambassador to Ankara Cristina Latorre Sancho, İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen, Air Europa CEO Jesus Nuno de la Rosa and other officials.
Emphasizing that the newly launched flights will greatly contribute to the development of tourism between the two countries, Ambassador Sancho said, "These flights connect the two countries with strong ties. Whether the trips are for vacation, education or business, a bond is established between people and countries. These newly launched flights will greatly contribute to the development of tourism between the two countries."
İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen stated that they are happy to work with a company that has large capacity aircraft as an airport and noted the following:
"This air bridge established between the two countries with the newly launched flights will not only facilitate transportation between the two cities, but will also contribute greatly to the development of tourism, trade and cultural relations. Thanks to Istanbul's strong position in international tourism and the unique connection potential it offers between the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe, working with such a strong partner will open new doors for our business world and our country."
Bilgen stated that the flights, which will currently be held four days a week, will be held every day starting from July. The program ended with a cake and ribbon cutting.
