Pasha praised his grandson's pension

The opposition, which carried the cries of millions of retirees living on salaries below the poverty line to the parliament, submitted a motion for investigation into the problems of retirees. While the motion was rejected by the AKP-MHP votes, AKP Şanlıurfa Deputy Cevahir Asuman Yazmacı, granddaughter of İbrahim Pasha, Commander of the Hamidiye Regiments of Abdülhamit II, who spoke on behalf of the AKP, praised the living conditions of retirees in Türkiye. Stating that retirees' salaries were increased with the adaptation regulation, the pasha's granddaughter deputy Yazmacı said, “We have implemented significant improvements in retirees' salaries with the temporary increases and additional welfare share increase. While there should have been an increase equal to the CPI rate in the January-June 2024 period, we added 11.68 points to this rate. We increased the welfare levels of our retirees.”
"WE ARE HAPPY WITH WHAT WE HAVE DONE"
Stating that Europe takes Türkiye as an example in terms of retirees, Yazmacı concluded his words as follows: “We ensured that our retirees benefit from bank promotions. We shared their joy in the holiday with the holiday bonus application we started in 2018. We increased the lower limit pensions. We provided new support to our retirees in many areas, especially health and transportation. The retirement age in France is 64, in Germany it is 67; in our country, women retire at 58 and men at 60. Forget criticizing, many countries take our system as an example. While we experience the happiness of what we can do for our retirees, we continue to work on what else we can do for them.”
CHP Balıkesir Deputy Serkan Sarı, reminding us of the living conditions of retirees, said, “When our retirees go to the market, they easily fill their baskets, when they go to the market, they buy plenty of fruits and vegetables. They give their grandchildren gifts and pocket money during the holidays. I would like to say that they easily sacrifice their animals and plan where they will go on holiday in the summer months, but unfortunately our retirees are struggling and waiting for the ballot box to ask for an account.”
