WHO IS JOEL MOKYR?

Born on July 26, 1946, in Leiden, the Netherlands, Joel Mokyr is one of the world's leading figures in economic history. He completed his master's degree in economics at Yale University in 1972 and his doctorate in 1974. He is known for his extensive research on economic growth, technological progress, and the Industrial Revolution. He currently serves as a professor of economic history at Northwestern University, where he continues to examine the historical dynamics of economic development.

WHO IS PHILPPE AGHION?

Born in Paris on August 17, 1956, Philippe Aghion is one of the pioneers of contemporary growth theory. After studying mathematics at the Cachan campus of the Université Paris-Saclay, he completed his doctorate in economics at Harvard University in 1987. Known for his work on innovation, competition, and productivity growth, Aghion currently holds professorships at prestigious institutions such as the Collège de France, INSEAD, and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
