It concerns millions of citizens! A new era in public transport and school buses

A new regulation has been introduced regarding school buses and public transportation, affecting millions of citizens. The regulation went into effect today.

In this context, cameras, video recorders, emergency buttons and tracking devices will now be installed on all school buses and public transportation vehicles.

In the system that is being implemented compulsorily, the devices will work in integration with the 112 Emergency Call Center.

While the details regarding the installation were also revealed, it was stated that these companies and device providers will be certified by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).

The statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on the subject is as follows:

The "Regulation on the Manufacture, Modification, and Assembly of Vehicles," amended to meet the needs anticipated by the Ministry of Interior, has revised the technical criteria for camera systems, video recorders, emergency buttons, and tracking devices to be installed in vehicles. Details regarding the implementation are determined by the "Serial Assembly Certification Directive," implemented by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).
