Getir is on the sales table for a record price

Having acquired an 85 percent stake in Trendyol Go, one of Türkiye's most popular online food and grocery ordering platforms, Uber is now at the negotiating table for Getir, another giant in the sector.
According to a report in Bloomberg, early contacts have begun between the parties for the sale of Getir's delivery company, Getir Retail.

A POSSIBLE SALE COULD EXCEED A BILLION DOLLARS
Uber, which began managing its operations in Türkiye from the office established in 42 Maslak with the completion of the sale of Trendyol Go, continues its negotiations with the United Arab Emirates-based investment fund Mubadala, the majority shareholder of Getir.
While Mubadala is reportedly considering Getir's finance arm separately but is leaning towards selling its delivery units, a potential transfer between the parties could exceed $1 billion, depending on which assets are included in the deal, according to insider information.

REACHED A VALUATION OF $11.8 BILLION
Founded in 2015 in Istanbul, Getir quickly experienced significant growth. The company, particularly during the pandemic, experienced record growth, expanding its reach to many countries worldwide and attracting the attention of international investors. At one point, the company's valuation reached as high as $11.8 billion. Getir founder Nazım Salur had previously alleged that Mubadala, a UAE-based fund, was attempting to acquire shares in Getir and had taken the matter to court.
