CHP's Sevgi Kılıç: We were beaten while trying to enter our party building

As political parties and the public flocked to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, entrances and exits to the roads leading to the building were blocked with police barricades.
While the Provincial Directorate was surrounded by police, citizens who crossed the barricades began to keep watch in front of the provincial building.
CHP Deputy Chair Sevgi Kılıç also stated that they were beaten by police teams when they tried to enter her party's Istanbul Provincial Headquarters.
CHP Deputy Chairman Kılıç made the following statement on his social media account:
We were beaten while trying to enter our own home, our party building. The orders given to the police are unlawful. The people's elected representatives, their leaders, the people, the true owners of this place, are being beaten here. This is not just our party's issue, nor is it just one person's. This is the government's attempt to liquidate democracy and the Republic. But it's futile. We will not allow this, we will not allow the trustee or the coup attempt. The CHP is the people, we are here, we will protect our will.
