Changes to the Unemployment Insurance Fund! Increased to 50%! Published in the Official Gazette

The Presidential Decree regarding the increase in the rate of Unemployment Fund revenues to be used for the purposes specified in the seventh paragraph of Article 48 of Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447, published in the Official Gazette, has entered into force.
Accordingly, it was decided to increase the Unemployment Insurance Fund premium income rate of the previous year, which was determined as 30 percent in the said law, to 50 percent for 2025.
According to the Unemployment Insurance Law, Unemployment Insurance Fund premium revenues are to be used to increase the employability of the workforce, to reduce the risk of unemployment by improving the qualifications of employees, to ensure that those expected to become unemployed due to technological developments are directed to other areas, to take and implement employment-enhancing and protective measures, to provide job placement and consultancy services, to conduct labor market research and planning studies, and to make payments related to the financial and social rights of employees working in contracted personnel positions approved to be paid from the fund and of personnel appointed to institutional positions in accordance with the relevant legislation and continuing to work in the institution.
