From the deserts of South America to the skies of Istanbul: Hermanos Gutiérrez

Meeting their audience with their first major concert in Türkiye, the guitar duo provided fascinating moments for approximately two hours at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage with their music that reminded them of South American deserts and Clint Estwood movies.
The brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez, who are shown as the resurgent pioneers of Latin guitar, added color to the night with stories they sprinkled among their spiritual and mystical tones. The audience, without vocals and with only two guitars, went into a trance with full attention for two hours on the huge stage of Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu, the only stage of our Istanbul. The brothers also constantly emphasized the bonds of brotherhood from the stage.
After living in separate cities for many years, the duo started playing together about 9 years ago, and they first encountered melodies reminiscent of "the sun setting in the desert" through Julio Jaramillo records that their grandfathers played. Leaving the idea of the desert that permeated their musical past behind and setting out towards the cosmos, Hermanos Gutiérrez presents a new world of sound in their new album.
Hermanos Gutiérrez spoke to us calmly for two hours, telling stories from the dusty South American deserts, starry nights, and arid climates with his music.
The duo, who said they had visited Istanbul before and loved it very much, dedicated their song "Hope" to the people of Istanbul. They said, "Take care of each other in this beautiful city." They shared their photos from last night on their social media and added the following note: "Istanbul... We can't find the words, thank you very much."
