Filmekimi 2025 program announced: Award-winning films and highly anticipated productions are coming...

The countdown has begun for Filmekimi , one of the most eagerly anticipated film events of the fall. Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and sponsored by Paribu, Filmekimi will take place in Istanbul from October 3rd to 12th . Screenings will take place at Atlas 1948, City's Nişantaşı – CINEWAM Premium, Kadıköy Cinema, and Paribu Art . After Istanbul, the festival will travel to Ankara (October 9th-12th), Eskişehir (October 16th-19th), and İzmir (October 23rd-26th), bringing the passion for cinema to other cities.
The program highlights award-winning films that made their world premieres at major festivals and strong directors. Jim Jarmusch's "Father Mother Sister Brother," which won the Golden Lion at Venice; Jafar Panahi's "It Was Just An Accident," which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes; Karlovy Vary Grand Prize-winning "Better Go Mad in the Wild," and Richard Linklater's "Blue Moon," which won Andrew Scott the Silver Bear at Berlin, are among the festival's most talked-about productions.
Also among Filmekimi's selections are Paolo Sorrentino's "La Grazia", Ari Aster's "Eddington", Yorgos Lanthimos' "Bugonia", Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein", Joachim Trier's "Moral Value" and Christian Petzold's "Mirrors No:3" .
