Turkish Red Crescent continues to support the fight against forest fires

Red Crescent teams, along with fire response teams in two provinces, Bolu and Kahramanmaraş, continue to provide nutrition services to citizens affected by the fire.
The fight against forest fires, which have been raging in many provinces across the country throughout the summer months, continues unabated. Red Crescent teams, supporting the fire zones with their branch and disaster response teams, as well as volunteers, have been on the ground responding to 127 fires since June.
Red Crescent teams are supporting firefighters in Bolu and Kahramanmaraş, where forest fires are ongoing. Arriving in the fire zones with catering and response vehicles, the Red Crescent is providing water, beverages, refreshments, and food aid, as well as food supplies, to affected citizens.
The Turkish Red Crescent, acting as the primary responsible for nutrition services within the scope of the Türkiye Disaster Response Plan (TAMP), provided nutrition support to a total of 2.6 million people in 127 forest fires that were brought under control during the summer months of 2025.
