The number of passengers served at airports reached 64.2 million

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a written statement regarding the airline data for April 2025. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the number of aircraft landing and taking off at airports in April was 73,657 on domestic lines and 71,151 on international lines, and said, "Thus, total aircraft traffic reached 193,894, including overflights. When the aircraft traffic served in April is compared to the same month in 2024, there has been an 8.4 percent increase in total aircraft traffic, including overflights."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that domestic passenger traffic was 8 million 102 thousand 796 and international passenger traffic was 10 million 954 thousand 959 in April. Stating that a total of 19 million 74 thousand 321 passengers traveled, including direct transit passengers, Minister Uraloğlu said, "There was a 5.6 percent increase in total passenger traffic, including direct transit, compared to the same month of the previous year. In the said month, the amount of cargo carried on domestic lines reached 392 thousand 606 tons in total, with 71 thousand 97 tons on domestic lines and 321 thousand 508 tons on international lines."
'THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS EXCEEDED 64 MILLION IN 4 MONTHS'Minister Uraloğlu noted that in the January-April period, the number of aircraft landing and taking off at airports was 278,513 on domestic lines and 236,031 on international lines, thus reaching a total of 693,916 aircraft traffic including overflights. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the total aircraft traffic served during the said period, including overflights, increased by 6 percent compared to the same period last year, and continued as follows:
"During this period, when domestic passenger traffic at airports across Turkey was 28 million 783 thousand 776 and international passenger traffic was 35 million 413 thousand 937, a total of 64 million 250 thousand 267 passengers were served, including direct transit passengers. When the passenger traffic served at the end of April 2025 is compared to the same period in 2024; there was a 3.4 percent increase in total passenger traffic, including direct transit. During the period in question, airport freight traffic reached 1 million 431 thousand 519 tons in total, with 256 thousand 876 tons on domestic lines and 1 million 174 thousand 642 tons on international lines. "
'ISTANBUL AIRPORT SERVED 24 MILLION 935 THOUSAND 891 PASSENGERS'Minister Uraloğlu stated that aircraft traffic at Istanbul Airport reached a total of 44,784 in April, with 10,085 in domestic lines and 34,699 in international lines, and he also noted that they served a total of 6,974,428 passengers, with 1,463,04 in domestic lines and 5,511,424 in international lines. Indicating that in the January-April period, there was a total of 166,422 aircraft traffic at Istanbul Airport, with 35,661 in domestic lines and 130,761 in international lines, Minister Uraloğlu said, "There was a total of 24,935,891 passenger traffic, with 4,886,387 in domestic lines and 20,49,504 in international lines."

Minister Uraloğlu, who also provided information about the passenger traffic of Sabiha Gökçen Airport, said, "In April, passenger traffic was 1 million 662 thousand 102 in domestic lines and 2 million 140 thousand 926 in international lines, totaling 3 million 803 thousand 28. Aircraft traffic was 9 thousand 51 in domestic lines and 12 thousand 541 in international lines, totaling 21 thousand 592."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that a total of 82,514 aircraft traffic was carried out at Sabiha Gökçen Airport in a 4-month period, 34,186 in domestic lines and 48,328 in international lines, and announced that a total of 14,107,870 passenger traffic was served, 5,982,752 in domestic lines and 8,125,118 in international lines.
'AIRPORTS IN ISTANBUL CARRIED MORE THAN 39 MILLION PASSENGERS'Minister Uraloğlu stated that approximately 34.5 million passengers traveled on domestic and international lines in 2002 and said, "Our airports in Istanbul hosted more than 39 million passengers in the first four months of the year. During the said period, they served 13 percent more passengers than all airports in Türkiye compared to 2002."
Uraloğlu also reported that Istanbul Ataturk Airport aircraft traffic was 2,153 in the month in question and 8,339 in the 4-month period.
TOURISM CENTERS HOSTED 10 MILLION 266 THOUSAND 281 PASSENGERSMinister Uraloğlu announced that the number of passengers served at airports in tourism centers reached 10 million 266 thousand 281 in total in 4 months, 5 million 74 thousand 319 in domestic flights and 5 million 191 thousand 962 in international flights. Minister Uraloğlu stated that there was a total of 79 thousand 494 aircraft traffic, 42 thousand 923 in domestic flights and 36 thousand 571 in international flights, and continued his statement as follows:
"In the 4-month period, 3 million 310 thousand 503 passengers were served at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, 5 million 652 thousand 945 passengers were served at Antalya Airport, and 608 thousand 364 passengers were served at Muğla Milas-Bodrum Airport. While a total of 511 thousand 869 passengers were served at Muğla Milas-Bodrum Airport, a total of 182 thousand 600 passengers were served at Gazipaşa Alanya Airport."
