The extent of the fire in Bursa became clear at daybreak.

The fire, which reduced more than 100 hectares of land to ashes in Bursa and forced the evacuation of 1,765 people from 485 households in three villages, was largely extinguished after teams fought tirelessly throughout the night.

Drone footage recorded by UAV teams in the villages of İğdir and Narlıdere showed what appeared to be a pine forest, with the pine trees now smoke-soaked and turning gray.

The fire's intensity decreased significantly this morning as winds eased. However, flare-ups have occurred occasionally in the area, and forestry, fire, and municipal teams are on high alert in case the wind stirs up the flames again.

It was reported that Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, who led the work at the Bursa crisis centre throughout the night, will conduct an inspection of the region by helicopter.

On the other hand, teams are constantly on alert in the region against the possibility of the forests burning due to storms and south-westerlies during the day and the possibility of the fire spreading to other points.

It was reported that the fire in the evacuated village of Avdancık in the Osmangazi district was stopped before it could reach the settlement.

Forestry, fire department and gendarmerie teams made great sacrifices during the fire and did not leave the area for even a moment for 12 hours.

When the flames subsided in the early morning, firefighters, having left the forest, took a break with their commanders' permission. However, the heroes, who could barely sleep on the astroturf pitch in their clothes, even if only for two hours, then left to begin cooling down operations.
