The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) announced that applications for its "Young University Student Education Support" scholarship for university students will open for the 2025-2026 academic year at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Applications can be submitted through the IMM official website starting on the specified date and time.

WHAT IS YOUNG UNIVERSITY STUDENT EDUCATION SUPPORT?

This Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) support program, which aims to ensure equal opportunities in education, is available to students pursuing associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees who reside in Istanbul or have a family. Scholarship applications are funded based on the financial situation of the student and their family.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality warned students against some fraud attempts:

"Do not trust platforms that contact you via SMS or WhatsApp under the name of IMM Young University Student Education Support and direct you to harmful links with the promise of scholarships."

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye

The student or his/her family must reside in Istanbul (in case of death of parents, the relative must reside there)

Being an associate, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student

Continuing education within the normal education period

Studying at a state university or receiving a 100% scholarship at a private/foundation university

For intermediate and senior students, the year-end success grade must be at least 53 out of 100 or 2.00 out of 4.00.

Student certificate

Transcript showing grade status

Scholarship certificate

For single students, documents showing the financial situation of the family (income certificate, pay slip, etc.)

For married students, documents showing their and their spouse's financial situation

Photocopy of disability report, if any

Student documents of siblings who are continuing their education, if any (siblings studying in open education are not taken into consideration)

The entire process will be carried out within the framework of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
