Temperatures will drop rapidly, heavy rains are on the way!

The General Directorate of Meteorology announced the weather forecast for Friday, May 9. The weather, which will be partly cloudy and sunny in the morning hours, will turn into local rainfall by noon. Heavy rains are expected to be effective especially in the Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions.

According to the Meteorology's 5-day weather forecast, temperatures will drop rapidly in the Marmara, Black Sea, northern Aegean and Central Anatolia regions as of Saturday, May 10. Thunderstorms will continue throughout the weekend.

Weather by Region

Marmara: Partly cloudy and slightly cloudy weather is expected, temperatures may drop over the weekend. Aegean and Mediterranean: In areas with very cloudy weather, especially in the interior, showers may be seen in the afternoon. Central Anatolia and Black Sea: Short-term showers will be effective starting from noon. Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia: Showers are expected in the eastern and southern parts of the region on Friday.
