Stock exchange coffers filled: Nine giant cash billionaires

Among the companies included in the BIST 30 Index, there are 9 companies with a cash value of 40 billion TL and a current ratio above 1.
According to a report by Zeynep Aktaş from Nasıl Bir Ekonomi, Enka İnşaat and Turkcell top the list, with cash holdings exceeding 120 billion Turkish Lira. Companies that stand out on the stock exchange for their cash value attract investor attention.
ENKA HAS THE MOST CASH
Among the BIST 30 stocks, Enka İnşaat holds the most cash, at 132 billion Turkish Lira. The company's current ratio is 2.85. The company, known for its international operations, has secured approximately 86.4 billion Turkish Lira in contracts since the beginning of the year. Turkcell, with 127 billion Turkish Lira in cash, has a current ratio of 1.69. Its price has fluctuated sideways for the past year.
THE MAJOR OF THEIR SECTORS
Continuing its investments with its transformation program, Tüpraş has 90 billion Turkish Lira in cash. This serves as a guarantee for the company to maintain its investments against potential fluctuations. Türkiye Sigorta, a powerful player in the insurance sector, has 85 billion Turkish Lira in cash on hand. This cash reserve allows the company to quickly evaluate alternative opportunities.
PRECAUTION IN THE SHRINKAGE MARKET
Ereğli Demir Çelik is another company that stands out, with 84 billion Turkish Lira in cash and a current ratio of 2.35. While its stock has been rising since last April due to increased interest, its current level is in the July 2024 range. Ford Otomotiv, meanwhile, holds 57 billion Turkish Lira in cash. It remains cautious in the contracting market, and its stock has experienced significant volatility over the past two months.
