President Erdoğan: Netanyahu is ideologically related to Hitler

"AN OPEN CHALLENGE TO THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM"

President Erdoğan stated that Israel continues its aggressive stance in the region and that Qatar, which is conducting peace negotiations, is also being targeted after Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Iran.

"The fact that the negotiation team was the target of this treacherous attack is a clear challenge to the international system and law," said President Erdoğan, noting that the attack was a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a peace-loving country.

Stating that the entire world sees that Israel is a clear threat to the international order, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey stands with the people of Qatar and Palestine.

"LEGAL AND EFFECTIVE MEASURES MUST BE TAKEN"

Recalling the participation of numerous heads of state and government in the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League held in Doha, Erdoğan said that the summit strongly demonstrated the common will of the Islamic world against Israeli aggression.

Erdoğan emphasized that the joint declaration adopted by the summit emphasized that the Israeli attack was directed against all Islamic states, adding, "We also called for all possible legal and effective measures to be taken to stop Israel's inhumane acts against the Palestinian people."

"Türkiye WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE FLAG OF THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE"

Stating that he held talks with numerous leaders at the summit, President Erdoğan said, "As our country has pioneered, we evaluated additional measures, including reviewing diplomatic and economic relations with Israel."

Expressing his hope that the humanitarian front will expand at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, Erdoğan said, "This difficult struggle has become vital for the Palestinian people and for the defense of international law and human dignity. Turkey will continue to be the standard-bearer of the Palestinian cause under all circumstances."

The questions asked by journalists to Erdoğan and his answers are as follows:

QUESTION: Mr. President, you mentioned the United Nations. The General Assembly approved the New York Declaration for a two-state solution with 142 "yes" votes. Next week, you will be at the United Nations, in the General Assembly. Numerous Western countries have declared their recognition of the State of Palestine. Therefore, from Türkiye's perspective, is this a turning point? Do you see this as a turning point for the Palestinian cause, and how will it impact it? What is the first step those who vote "yes" should take going forward?

As Israel escalates its oppression, its true face is revealed. Even those who have ignored the systematic Israeli oppression in Palestine for years have begun to say, "This can no longer be." As you stated, the New York Declaration, adopted by 142 countries at the UN General Assembly, has fundamentally shifted the diplomatic balance on the Palestinian issue. The results of recent UN votes demonstrate Israel's growing isolation. The two-state solution thesis, which Türkiye has championed on every platform for years, has now become the shared will of the global majority. From Turkey's perspective, the legitimacy of our diplomatic struggle has been confirmed. In one respect, the shift in will in these UN resolutions clearly demonstrates that Israel is committing genocide. This may lead to those who have not previously sided with the "yes" voters joining the "yes" voters over time. I believe that the recognition of Palestine as a state by Western countries will further corner Israel. We will declare this once again on the UN stage. God willing, we will make the cry of the oppressed heard throughout the world.

QUESTION: We are going through a period in our region where borders are being redrawn under the guise of a "promised land," and scenarios of discord and invasion are being put into motion. What stance will Türkiye take against these scenarios? What would be your message to the Islamic world during this period?

Let's make this crystal clear: Israel serves a perverse ideology, not a religion. Let's examine this characteristic once and for all. Netanyahu and his gang are only telling the world the fabricated tales of Zionism. The UN Charter mandates the territorial integrity of states, sovereign equality, and the non-change of their borders by force. We must recognize this. Therefore, the scenarios created with the concept of the "promised land" are legally invalid and lack legitimacy. Those who govern Israel are nothing more than a murder network that has transformed their radical understanding into a fascist ideology. In this respect, Netanyahu is practically ideologically related to Hitler. He has this characteristic. Just as Hitler, influenced by his progress, failed to foresee the defeat that awaited him, Netanyahu will suffer the same ultimate fate. I believe this. Israel harms Muslims and Christians as well as Jews. When you listen to Jews who oppose Israel's genocides, you clearly see what a dangerous ideology Zionism is. If Zionist Israel must be associated with anything, it is terrorism and fascism. According to our belief, Israel cannot defile the blessed memories of our prophets, Moses and other prophets, and the divine messages they carry. The Islamic world must respond to this vile attack on its prophets with knowledge and wisdom. It is also vital that Islamic countries develop security, cooperation, intelligence sharing, and crisis management mechanisms among themselves. I particularly recommend that we strengthen our brotherhood by heeding our Prophet's call: "O servants of God, be brothers."

QUESTION: While the commission established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly is working on the Terror-Free Turkey process, there seems to be a stagnation on the ground. How is the Terror-Free Turkey process progressing? Is it at the desired level? How would you assess it?

The Terror-Free Turkey process continues with determination and a clear focus on the goal. The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission is the clearest demonstration that our goal of a Terror-Free Turkey is not only based on security but also on democratic legitimacy. The process is gaining momentum to strengthen our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. If we don't clear the weeds, they will weaken the crop and reduce productivity. I believe that our unity and solidarity will eradicate these harmful weeds, and our country will become even stronger once the process reaches its destination. Therefore, we are closely monitoring every step on the ground. Our colleagues within the Commission are also closely monitoring the process. Our nation's support and prayers are our greatest guarantee. Thanks to that overwhelming support, we have thwarted and will continue to thwart the traps set against our country. My nation should be aware of this: we know very well what we are doing. We never forget, and never will we forget, that no cannon can withstand hearts that strike collectively. We are carrying out the "Terror-Free Turkey" process with a comprehensive understanding of security to secure not only the present but also the future. When the time comes, these words of ours will be understood more clearly.

QUESTION: What is the status of the integration process between the Damascus government and the SDF? Is Turkey taking any initiative to resolve this issue peacefully? Where is this ultimately expected to lead?

As Turkey, it is, of course, our greatest desire to achieve unity and solidarity in Syria and for lasting peace to prevail in every corner of the country. To this end, we continue to stand with the Syrian people. We had a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Shara. We discussed these issues with him in detail. Our message to the Syrian Democratic Forces is clear. The pursuit of integration between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government is a significant step towards Syria's territorial integrity. Occasionally, there are provocations to prevent Syria from becoming one heart and one fist again. Syria is currently undergoing a complex process where international diplomacy and local dynamics are intertwined. We absolutely cannot leave Syria alone. Therefore, my colleagues, especially my Foreign Minister and the Director of Intelligence, are in close dialogue with Syria. The old days are over in Syria. Now, a new era has begun in Syria. However, as you know, Israel is pressuring Syria from the south and trying to wear it down. They are trying to gain something from there with a "divide, divide, and rule" mentality. Despite all this, an administration that prioritizes embracing everyone in Syria is currently in power. This has shifted the balance of power in Syria, and some are currently unable to accept this. It would be most prudent, most appropriate, and most appropriate for Syria's circumstances for everyone to fully understand this new situation and take steps accordingly. Now, I'd like to ask you: Why lose through conflict when we can win together through peace? Let's address this. It's imperative that we move forward without succumbing to provocations, straying from the wrong path, or falling for the wiles of those who feed on Muslim blood. We stand with all Syrians, without discrimination. My Foreign Minister, in particular, and my Director of Intelligence, are in frequent meetings with their counterparts in the Syrian administration, maintaining close dialogue and close relationships. They will continue these meetings. In the end, I believe that Syria, and our entire region, will be the victor.

QUESTION: My question concerns the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. There are presidential elections in October. How would you assess whether the election results pose risks to Türkiye's gains and claims in the Eastern Mediterranean?

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a sovereign state, will hold its elections under the supervision of its independent judiciary. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is our brother. We consider the rights and interests of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be our own. We will not allow this to be encroached upon. Turkey has guarantor rights legitimately recognized under international law and United Nations resolutions. These rights guarantee the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and its maritime jurisdictions in the Eastern Mediterranean, regardless of which political party comes to power. For years, the island of Cyprus has been a playground for regional and global powers. Recent history has demonstrated how bloody these games can be. No one should devise schemes that will unleash new suffering on the island of Cyprus. Neither we nor the Turkish Cypriot people have forgotten what they have endured. Memories filled with pain are still fresh. No one can inflict similar suffering on Turkish Cypriots again, and we will not allow it. I wish the elections of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus auspicious.

QUESTION: We've seen significant positive progress in Türkiye's relations with the Haftar government, which controls eastern Libya, in recent months. There's also a strong expectation that the Benghazi government will ratify the maritime jurisdiction agreement Türkiye signed with Tripoli. Conversely, Greece's pressure on the Haftar government is also evident. My question is: Is Haftar's visit to Turkey on the agenda? Do we expect Benghazi to sign the agreement?

Haftar's son maintains contact with our intelligence and occasionally maintains dialogue with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In other words, they are not isolated from us. We believe that a constructive dialogue must be established between East and West in Libya. We want Libya's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political unity to be preserved. We are taking steps in line with these objectives. From the beginning of this process, we have supported the legitimate Tripoli government. However, recent policies have evolved towards opening diplomatic channels not only to Tripoli but also to eastern Libya. This is a reflection of our multifaceted diplomatic efforts, Türkiye's regional vision, and its aim to achieve peace. We expect the political process in Libya to advance through fair, credible, and transparent elections. Of course, there will be those who seek to prevent peace and stability in Libya. We will continue to stand with the Libyan people and strengthen the basis for dialogue. The Benghazi administration's ratification of the maritime jurisdiction agreement signed between Turkey and Tripoli would be a major achievement in terms of international law.

QUESTION: As we were taking off for Qatar, there was an important case in Ankara. A hearing was held regarding the controversial congress of the main opposition party, the CHP. The case was postponed until October 24th without any precautions being taken. What would you like to say about this?

Right now, the judiciary is the sole authority here. Has it made its decision? It has. Therefore, this interim decision has postponed the process. With this postponement, the expectation is for a new trial. Let's see what decision comes there. We will see that clearly and directly. We, as the AK Party, are not involved in this case. Both the complainants and those being prosecuted are roaming the corridors of the CHP. That's the difference between us. They must first stop harassing us to suppress their internal debates. So what? Some CHP mayors and council members have joined our party. Are we going to ask those who want to join, "Why are you coming?" Our door is open. We'll say, "Congratulations," and we'll welcome them. Indeed, Beykoz Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel joined us, following Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor. They came to us with their council members, and we're continuing our journey with them. Although this conflict is taking place within the CHP, this point is crucial; it affects everyone. Bribery, extortion, corruption, fraud, extortion, and delegate bargaining are all among these. First, focus on purging these negative aspects of your own affairs. Don't sling mud here and there before you've addressed them. No one can ignore this aspect of the issue. There's a CHP administration that can't speak without permission from its superiors. Is such politics even possible? There's no such thing within the AKP. We keep our microphones open for all our colleagues who want to speak. We never turn them off. Every sentence CHP officials utter is either whispered into their ears or thrust into their hands. This is the way it is. Therefore, we will see what the judiciary will decide after the interim ruling: whether it will be an absolute nullity or a different decision.

QUESTION: Some figures close to the current CHP leadership targeted their former leader, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, on television and through social media accounts affiliated with them. They made offensive, alienating, and offensive remarks against Alevi citizens based on Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu's sectarian affiliation. Some Alevi associations even issued statements condemning these individuals. What is your assessment of this situation?

I condemn these ugly, discriminatory statements targeting our Alevi citizens. We are practically inseparable. We can never relegate them to another place. As one of the fundamental principles of our state, all our citizens are equal, regardless of religion, sect, ethnicity, or identity. This is guaranteed by the Constitution. It is imperative that everyone adheres to this principle. All these statements are simply an expression of the distorted and sickly perspective of those who have long viewed our Alevi citizens as a vote bank. I believe that the law will take its due action, and these provocations will be held accountable in court. No one can so recklessly target the unity, solidarity, and social peace of this country. Nor can they make such a distinction between Alevi and Sunni. By God's grace, we will not allow this.

QUESTION: Recently, individuals who have broken away from the opposition, especially the CHP—mainly mayors and municipal council members—are joining the AK Party. This participation has accelerated and increased. What is the reason for this interest in your party, and in particular, this virtual flight from the opposition? What is your interpretation, considering your extensive political experience?

Those who joined the CHP joined the main opposition party with good intentions. But later, they realized there was bribery, corruption, and extortion within the party. When all this happened, they said, "We've come to the wrong place" and decided to break away. Such a situation hasn't happened within the AKP for years, and it still doesn't. CHP officials, realizing this reality, began slandering claims like, "They're being pressured and threatened," to stop this defection. Dear friends, this is a reaction to those who have turned the century-old party into a thieving gang. This is the current situation. I am a president who has served as mayor. I am a president who has served as prime minister. I have been president since 2014. In short, I am a politician. Throughout my political career, thankfully, I have never encountered such things. Our brothers and sisters who join our ranks from parties other than the CHP come to our party because they believe the AKP is the right place to serve this nation. This makes us happy, in a way. I believe that participation will continue in the coming period. People prefer the AK Party as a stable party with strong cadres. In its 24-year history, we are a party that has earned the public's favor and demonstrated its experience in state administration. With the steps we will take in the coming period, we will continue on our path, God willing, by earning the affection of our people. Therefore, for those from the opposition, joining the AK Party means not only a change of party but also a connection with clean politics and staff dedicated to serving the nation. These participations have once again demonstrated that the AK Party and the People's Alliance will continue to strengthen their path.

QUESTION: The number of people making calls to take to the streets has increased recently. FETÖ fugitives have also made calls to take to the streets on social media. There are also those making provocative statements within the country. What would you like to say about those making calls to take to the streets?

Who are those who issued this call to the streets? We must first answer this question. These are individuals whose betrayal of the nation has been documented. Those who take their word for it and take to the streets, attempting to incite the masses to take to the streets under their guidance and the orders of their overlords, are, in my opinion, complicit in these centers of treason. My citizens must never fall into such a mistake. These FETÖ remnants apparently view the opposition, which is in political stalemate, as a useful tool. That's why they are joining their ranks. We will never tolerate those who try to stir up chaos and disorder in the streets. We will take the necessary action without delay, without giving them a chance to disrupt the nation's peace. Our citizens who experienced events like the Gezi protests and FETÖ's vile coup attempt are now more aware, and our state is stronger. It's clear where and how politics should be conducted. Our citizens are joining us because they see and understand how correct politics is being conducted, and God willing, this process will continue. Furthermore, calling people to the streets and inciting them to vandalism is a matter for the law and security forces, not for politics. Those who attempt to criminalize political parties inflict the greatest harm on their own parties first. We are a party that has always demonstrated how politics should be conducted in Türkiye and has set an example in this regard.

QUESTION: It was said that a new social housing project would be announced at the end of the year. We know that money has been allocated for this in the Medium Term Program. When will this project be launched?

The responsible party for this project is, as you know, our Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum. He will make a statement on it as soon as possible. We have comprehensive preparations to provide housing, especially for low-income citizens. Mr. Murat is continuing his work on this issue. 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments are included in these projects. I have instructed him to accelerate the process and expand our housing efforts nationwide. By taking this step, we aim to ensure that the poor and needy, especially those living in poverty, have access to such housing. Furthermore, as AK Party governments, we have built a total of 1,704,000 housing units to date. We are currently building 280,000 social housing units nationwide. Please note that we are doing all of this while continuing our intensive construction activities following the disaster of the century, building 450,000 housing units in 11 provinces. Currently, land and plot surveys, project development, and cost determination processes are ongoing in all 81 provinces with TOKİ. We will share all the details with the public next month, God willing.
