Midnight operation at the Police Department! Unexpected appointment from Yerlikaya

An unexpected appointment was made in the police department last night.
According to T24, the Head of the General Directorate of Security Inspection Board, İsmail Dalkılıç, was dismissed.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who has been visiting and inspecting cities in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions for some time, signed the appointment decree after arriving in Ankara yesterday.
With the decree, İsmail Dalkılıç, the Head of the Inspection Board since July 2023, was dismissed within the scope of the appointments made by Yerlikaya in the Police Department after he became Minister of the Interior, and Erkin Adalar, the Head of the Inspection Board in Istanbul Region, was appointed in his place.
Following the appointments, the new Inspection Board Head, Adalar, began his duties at the same time, a practice rarely seen within the organization. Adalar, who served in Istanbul for many years, took an active role in operations targeting FETÖ after the December 17-25 period. Adalar served as Deputy Police Chief in Istanbul and later became the Kırklareli Police Chief for a short time. He was subsequently dismissed by Süleyman Soylu in 2019. With Ali Yerlikaya becoming a minister, Adalar was appointed Head of the Inspection Board in Istanbul.
