July 2025 Was the Hottest Month in 55 Years

This marked the hottest July of the last 55 years.
Of the 220 meteorological stations used in the climate assessment, 66 broke all-time temperature records in July.
Leader of the Records: Cizre
Cizre topped the list of top 10 stations where record temperatures were recorded. The average July temperature, which had been 49.1 degrees Celsius in previous years, rose to 49.4 degrees Celsius in 2025.

Ceylanpinar: 48.2°C → 49.0°C
Birecik: 47.2°C → 48.1°C
Tokat: 45.0°C → 47.2°C
Akçakale: 46.7°C → 47.0°C
Viransehir: 46.7°C → 47.0°C
Adıyaman: 45.3°C → 46.3°C
Kahta: 44.5°C → 46.0°C
Boyabat: 45.4°C → 45.8°C
Kahramanmaraş: 45.2°C → 45.8°C
In addition, the 50.5 degrees measured in Şırnak's Silopi district on July 25, 2025, was recorded as an all-time temperature record in Türkiye.
