İZSU warns: Water outages will occur in many districts of İzmir! Pay attention to the July 17 date.

Water outages are expected in various districts of Izmir on Thursday, July 17, 2025. According to a statement released by İZSU (Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration), some areas will experience hours-long outages due to pipe malfunctions and others due to contractor work.

The water outage, which began at 9:00 a.m. in Bayraklı's R. Şevket İnce neighborhood, is expected to last approximately three hours. According to a statement from İZSU, the line valve on the 2129 Street line was shut down due to a malfunction, temporarily shutting off water to the area.

BRANCH FAILURE IN BORNOVA: TWO NEIGHBORHOODS AFFECTED

Water is being cut off in Bornova's Atatürk and İnönü neighborhoods between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. The cause is a branch pipe malfunction on 761 Street. The shutoff of the regional valve has halted water flow in both neighborhoods.

REİSDERE NEIGHBORHOOD IN ÇEŞME REMAINED WITHOUT WATER

The outage, which began at 9:23 a.m. in the Reisdere neighborhood of Çeşme, will last approximately three hours. Water is out on and around 6084 Street due to a main pipe failure, and the work is expected to be completed around noon.

Lower Neighborhood in Kinik Affected

The outage, which began at 8:05 a.m. in the Lower Neighborhood of Kınık, is expected to last until 10:06 a.m. A cluster of houses surrounding the open-air market are experiencing both outages and low pressure due to a main pipe failure.

8-HOUR OUTAGE WARNING IN MENEMEN

The longest outage in Izmir will be experienced in the Menemen district. The Gazi Mustafa Kemal, İnönü, and 85th-Year Cumhuriyet neighborhoods will be without access to water for eight hours. The outage, which began at 9:30 am, is expected to last until 5:30 pm. The reasons are attributed to low reservoir levels and water transmission issues with the old lines.

Network work in Seferihisar caused an outage

Seferihisar's Camikebir and Çolak İbrahim Bey neighborhoods are also experiencing water outages between 9:35 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. A main pipe failure during the newly installed drinking water network has caused outages in these two neighborhoods, as well as several surrounding streets.
