Horrific accident in Northern Marmara! Car crashes into road sign: 1 dead, 4 injured

The accident occurred at around 6:40 a.m. at the Sevindikli junction on the highway heading towards Istanbul. According to reports, a foreign-plated car driven by MA hit a direction sign at the junction and overturned.

The driver, MA, and passengers Yeter Atak, MA, MA, and EA were injured in the horrific accident. Following a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center, paramedics, UMKE, fire department, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon examination, paramedics determined Yeter Atak had died. Atak's wife and three children were taken to the hospital after receiving first aid. The car was also rendered unusable.

Mehmet Eleftoz, the driver of another car that stopped to help, said the vehicle was going very fast.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
