Galatasaray's Board of Directors held its regular September meeting.

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, Vice President Metin Öztürk, and members of the board of directors and the board of directors attended the meeting. Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made statements at the meeting.

Dursun Özbek, stating that Galatasaray has no debt, said, “We have set goals since the day we took office in May 2022. I would like to briefly mention these. The first was to improve the financial structure and make it sustainable. The second was the development of facilities, and the third was sporting success. Galatasaray Sports Club is a club that never compromises on sporting success. Since its founding and the mission we have undertaken, sporting success has always been a priority. I am proud to have fulfilled the promises we have made regarding the financial structure since the day we took office. My colleagues and I have made a great effort. We have withdrawn from the Banking Union agreement. I also stated our activities in the July meeting. Galatasaray Sports Club and its subsidiaries do not owe anyone any debt. Of course, Galatasaray has future liabilities. Those liabilities must always be met by its activities during that year. These could be payments to athletes, debts related to real estate it has built, or tax debts it has restructured. Therefore, those liabilities are determined annually during that period.” "We have to meet these obligations. We have achieved this based on our activities to date. We have no debt to anyone. We have no tax debt; we have cleared all past tax debts. We have no overdue debt to our athletes. Galatasaray Sports Club has no debts related to past activities, only liabilities. These will be met through our activities during the current period; no one should worry about this. We achieved a highly successful capital increase in the previous period. We increased our equity capital to approximately 13.5 billion TL. When you consider our position in Sportif AŞ in terms of stock market value, Galatasaray Sports Club Sportif AŞ is Türkiye's most valuable sports club with a value of 21.2 billion TL," he said.

'WE HAVE BUILT A MAGNIFICENT FACILITY'

Dursun Özbek, stating that the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities are at European level, said, “We've launched a major development initiative. The first phase of this is related to football. We moved from Florya to our new location. We had previously announced that we would build in two phases, and we've completed the first. We've built a magnificent facility for our football team, which competes in the Süper Lig. Our newly signed players clearly demonstrate this. Our valued players, who have played for teams like Barcelona and Manchester City, say this facility is unique in Europe. We currently have infrastructure facilities under construction. We will bring all four infrastructure facilities to our club as soon as possible.”

Özbek noted that 60 acres of land near RAMS Park has been acquired for the club, and that the facility where volleyball, basketball, swimming, and indoor sports will be held is in the permitting phase. He said, “Galatasaray Sports Club's sports activities are not limited to football alone. We have 17 other sports, and we are experiencing significant difficulties in operating many of them. The club has acquired 60 acres of land right next to the stadium. We are currently in the permitting phase for the facility where we will host volleyball, basketball, swimming, and indoor sports. Our project is complete, we have completed the project, and we are applying for the permit. We will begin construction there as soon as possible.”

'WE HAVE VERY SERIOUS PROJECTS RELATED TO INSTALLATION'

Özbek stated that there are very good projects in the future regarding facilities and continued his words as follows:

The rival team's presidents, in particular, used to tease us by saying, "Galatasaray Real Estate Inc., Construction Inc.," but today we see that everyone has a file on them, and they've turned to non-operational revenues to replicate what we did seven years ago. This is the biggest difference between Galatasaray and its competitors. Those who criticized us back then have been forced to copy what we're doing today. We have very serious projects related to facilities. We've already started construction on the infrastructure. As I mentioned, we're in the licensing phase for volleyball and basketball. We want to complete that as well. You are our greatest support here. We draw strength from you as we embark on these projects. I extend my sincere gratitude to all the members of the Galatasaray community and to you. Your support while serving Galatasaray has encouraged us and played the biggest role in helping us reach our goals.

'WE HAVE TO ACHIEVE SPORTING SUCCESS IN AMATEUR SPORTS TOO'

Özbek stated that they will achieve greater success in amateur sports thanks to the projects undertaken, saying, “We must achieve the same athletic success in amateur sports. To achieve this, we will pool the resources we generate from our projects into a fund. No one will touch this fund under any circumstances. We stated that we would use the proceeds solely for amateur sports. We have reached that point now, because the projects we have implemented have become tangible and are gradually generating funds. With this additional funding, we will be even more successful in amateur sports from now on. We will secure the financial support necessary to achieve success that will fill us with joy.”

"THERE ARE 550 VILLAS OWNED BY GALATASARAY IN RIVA"

Dursun Özbek, who stated that the second phase of construction has started in Riva, continued his words as follows:

Our second phase of construction has begun in Riva. There are approximately 550 villas there belonging to Galatasaray. Sales have begun, and construction is ongoing. According to information I've received so far, approximately 70 villas have been sold. Our construction in Mecidiyeköy was stalled. Construction has begun there as well, based on the contract we signed with our valued sponsor, RAMS. Their commitment is until the end of April. They will complete and deliver the entire construction to us by the beginning of May. I thank them very much. We've also begun infrastructure construction in Kemerburgaz. Our sponsor, Pasifik Holding, undertook the construction there. I thank them very much, too.

“WE HAVE MADE A PERFECT ISLAND”

Dursun Özbek also commented on Galatasaray Island, saying, "One of the promises we made to you was to rebuild Galatasaray Island and open it to you. I'm incredibly proud that we've now fulfilled that promise. We've built a magnificent island. I think those who have visited are probably very pleased. It's a magnificent facility, with zoning and title deeds held by Galatasaray. If anyone hasn't been, please come and enjoy the island."
